Cabinet Painting & Refinishing in Ashland & Worcester, MA — factory-smooth, sprayed finishes.
Replacing a kitchen is a major renovation project. Refinishing the cabinets you already have — when the boxes are solid — delivers a near-identical visual upgrade at a fraction of the cost, in a fraction of the time.
Our cabinet finishes look sprayed because they are sprayed. We remove every door and drawer, label them, and refinish them in our ventilated shop with HVLP equipment. The cabinet boxes are sprayed on-site with full plastic containment — your counters, floors, and walls are untouched.

Why our cabinet finish holds up
- Complete door & drawer removal — every piece labeled
- Degrease + scuff-sand + bonding primer (BIN or STIX)
- HVLP-sprayed finish in satin, semi-gloss, or lacquer
- Waterborne alkyd (BM Advance or SW Emerald Urethane Trim)
- New hinges + soft-close + pulls installed if desired
- On-site spray for boxes with full plastic containment
The one-week cabinet transformation
Day 1 — Removal & prep
We take off every door and drawer, label the hinges and hardware, and prep the boxes in place.
Days 2–4 — Shop spray
Doors are primed and sprayed in our ventilated shop with dry-times between coats. Temperature and humidity controlled — this is why the finish has zero brush marks.
Day 5 — On-site boxes
We build plastic containment around the kitchen and spray the boxes. Your kitchen is out of service for this one day.
Days 6–7 — Reinstall
New hinges, pulls, and soft-close if ordered. Doors go back on, we align every face, and hand you a fresh kitchen.

Cabinet Painting — common questions
How long will painted cabinets last?
When properly prepped and sprayed with a quality enamel, cabinets look and perform great for 10+ years — even in heavily used kitchens.
Can you paint any substrate?
Wood, MDF, laminate, and thermofoil all work with the right primer. Thermofoil needs special prep which we flag in the estimate.
Brush or spray?
Spray — HVLP specifically. Brushing always leaves marks. Our shop-sprayed finish looks factory-applied.
Can I use the kitchen during the project?
Yes, with one exception: the day we spray the boxes on-site, the kitchen is out of service for ~24 hours while the finish cures.
