Interior Painting in Ashland & Worcester, MA — rooms that feel brand new.
Interior painting is more than paint on a wall. It's protection of your home during the project, careful surface prep so the finish actually lasts, sharp cut-lines where wall meets ceiling, and a final walk-through where we catch anything you'd flag before it becomes your problem.
Our interior team works exclusively in occupied, high-end residential projects across Metro West Massachusetts. We use Benjamin Moore Regal Select, Aura, Advance, and Sherwin-Williams Emerald — the right line for each surface, not the cheapest gallon on the shelf.

What's included in an AJ interior project
- Full floor & furniture protection (plastic + drop cloths, re-applied daily)
- Drywall repair, crack filling, nail-hole filling, caulking
- Primer selected per surface (bonding, stain-blocking, or drywall)
- Two coats of premium paint in the sheen that suits each surface
- Color consultation and sample boards included
- Daily cleanup + final walk-through sign-off
How we approach every interior repaint
Every interior job follows the same sequence, regardless of size:
Day 1 — Protect and prep
We mask floors, cover furniture, and remove switch plates and outlet covers. Cracks and holes get filled, water stains get primed, and trim joints get caulked. Skipping this step is why cheap paint jobs peel.
Days 2–4 — Prime and paint
Ceilings first, then walls, then trim and doors. Two coats on every surface, sheens selected per room. Low-VOC means you can stay in the home during the project.
Final day — Walk-through
We walk every room with you, note any touch-ups, and fix them before we pack up. Then the protection comes off, the floors get vacuumed, and the outlet covers go back on.

Interior Painting — common questions
How long does an interior paint job take?
Most 3-bedroom interior repaints are completed in 3–5 working days. Larger homes or full trim-packages can extend to 7–10 days. We give you a confirmed written timeline before we start.
Can I stay in the home during painting?
Yes. We use low-VOC paints and isolate the work area each day, so most clients live in the home throughout the project.
Do you help with color selection?
Free color consulting is part of every interior estimate. We bring physical sample boards so you can see real paint in your home's light before committing.
Will you move my furniture?
Yes — we move furniture to the center of each room and cover it with plastic. Heavier pieces we cover in place. Nothing leaves the house.
