A 4-bedroom Ashland colonial near the State Park — original 1990s peach-beige walls, scuffed trim from a decade of family life, and a homeowner who needed the repaint done in 5 working days without relocating.

The challenge

Color shifting from warm peach-beige to a cool greige needs primer to kill the existing undertone — otherwise the new color reads pinkish for the first six months. Plus the family stayed in residence, so we sequenced rooms to keep at least two finished rooms available each evening.

What we did

  • Gray-tinted primer on every wall surface to kill the existing peach undertone
  • Walls in Edgecomb Gray HC-173 (BM Regal Select satin)
  • Trim, doors, baseboards in Decorator's White (BM Advance semi-gloss)
  • Daily floor protection across the 4-bedroom + open-plan first floor
  • Ceilings refreshed in dedicated flat (Decorator's White)

The result

Five days door-to-done. Family didn't move out. House reads modern + listing-ready instead of dated-1990s.
